This is the second Boulder Qualifier of the 2022/2023 season for Youth B, Youth A, Junior and Adult athletes. The top 20 athletes in each category after the two Qualifiers (using a ranking of each athlete’s best ranking at a Qualifier) will qualify for OCF Boulder Provincials at Boulderz Climbing Centre in Etobicoke on March 25 & 26, 2023.

The Qualification Rounds will be on Saturday, January 14, 2023. The Final Round for all categories will be on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
Saturday Morning - Youth B Qualifiers
7:30 AM - Gym opens for Youth B athlete check in and warmup
(B athletes may check-in at anytime this morning, as long as they are ready to climb when it is their turn.)
8:15 AM - Athlete Briefing & Judge’s Meeting

Qualification Round Start Lists
Athletes will climb two courses (with three boulders each). Please note your position on the Start Lists for each of Course A and Course B. Please report to the start of each course for your designated Start Time.

Format
The Qualification Rounds will run using the CEC/IFSC Flash Format. There will be 6 problems per category. Athletes will climb 3 problems at a time, 5 on/5 off, with a break in between sets of 3 problems according to a posted random Start List. Beta videos will be provided in advance. Athletes are allowed to watch other athlete climb, may share beta while warming up and may share beta while in a rest chair in between attempts. However, no beta is allowed while an athlete is climbing.
The Finals Rounds will run using the IFSC semi-final format, with strict Isolation rules. Each category will climb 4 problems, 5 on/5 off, Start List last qualifier to first qualifier. Quota to Finals is based on the number of athletes registered in each category from the Qualification Round (see Rule 11.12 for more detail).

Spectators
Spectators will be allowed based on the facility’s capacity.
There will be a $5 spectator fee for anyone who is not an athlete, OCF coach, volunteer, or member of Aspire Climbing.
Volunteers
We will need at least 12 judges for both sessions of the Qualification Round and at least 8 judges for both sessions of the Final Round. You can help make this a great event by volunteering.

Everyone entering the gym must sign a facility waiver. This includes athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators.
