OCF Series Ranking

For full details, please refer to Section 5 of the OCF Rulebook.

 At the end of the season, medals will be awarded to the top three (3) athletes in each category based on the overall series ranking across all three disciplines.

• Only OCF Competitive Members are eligible to earn Series Points

• Athletes will be ranked in their respective category based on the sum total of Series Points earned from their best result in each of the three (3) different disciplines of bouldering, difficulty and speed

• Youth E athletes are not included in the Series Ranking to conform with the LTAD

• Further clarification on ties:

  When two or more competitors tie for the same position, they share the points for their position and the next position(s). To achieve this, the points for all the tied positions are added together and then divided by the number of competitors who tied. Each tied competitor receives this average number of points.

  Example:

  • Points for 3rd place: 190

  • Points for 4th place: 185

  • Points for 5th place: 180

  If three competitors tie for 3rd place:

  1. Add the points for 3rd, 4th, & 5th place: 190 + 185 + 180= 555

  2. Divide by the number of tied competitors: 555 ÷ 3 = 185

  Each competitor receives 185 points.
