OCF Announces Updates to Committees and Seeks Volunteer Participation

July 2, 2024 (Toronto, ON) – The Ontario Climbing Federation Board of Directors has recently updated the terms of references for several committees as we continue to grow and look to allocate our resources in the most efficient way possible. The focus is on continuing to deliver on current OCF programming and performance planning. The committees will work to ensure the organization’s governance and oversight is establishing the foundations for the OCF to sustain long-term growth. A brief description of the updated committees is listed below. Additionally, the Governance and Nominations Committee in particular will be continuing to update other committee terms of references following an analysis of our governance structure and making adjustments to the committees of the OCF as required.

The OCF is also calling on passionate individuals to volunteer for pivotal roles within our organization. As we continue to foster a vibrant and inclusive climbing community, we are seeking dedicated members to join our Governance and Nominations Committee; our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee; and our High-Performance Committee. Anyone interested in applying to any of the committees can click on the application link under each of the descriptions. Applications will be evaluated on an on-going basis by the Chair of each committee, where one exists, and the OCF Board of Directors. Where a committee does not have a Chair, the Board will look to appoint one from the existing applications. The OCF will aim to make the first round of appointments at our next Board meeting on July 17.
