2022 AGM Announced Alongside Call For New Directors

Annual General Meeting Announced

The Ontario Climbing Federation is pleased to announce that the OCF’s 2022 Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) will take place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 7:00pm. 

This year’s meeting will be held virtually via a Zoom teleconference. Instructions to join the meeting and a complete agenda are available at the AGM event page.

Call for Nominations to OCF Board of Directors

These are exciting times for the OCF as we grow and move towards being an officially recognized provincial sport organization. However, our success depends on having a strong Board of Directors and other volunteers to support the organization.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the OCF has faced a critical and worsening shortage of volunteers for organizational positions. The OCF Board of Directors is meant to consist of 7 Directors. Due to a lack of nominations, the Board shrunk to five in 2020, and then to only THREE in 2021. Four former OCF Chairs agreed to emergency appointments to fill the vacancies.

Competition climbing in Ontario cannot survive, let alone grow, without new community members stepping up to fill these critical positions. This year we need to fill up to four (4) open positions for a two-year term.
