Qualification Procedure for Senior Lead Nationals

October 26 update: the final list of qualified athletes and accepted applications has been posted at the CEC Lead National Championships page on our website.

The OCF has been given a quota of 15 spots per gender category for CEC Senior Lead National Championships at Hub Climbing.

Because no direct qualification event will be held this season, we have selected 12 athletes per gender to attend from last season's results, and we will accept applications for the remaining 3 spots per gender.

The following climbers have been pre-qualified to climb at Senior Lead National this November 27-28, 2022, and will be contacted to confirm their participation, confirmation of their participation is required by Oct 21, 2022.

The Ontario Climbing Federation Board of Directors chose this team by qualifying the top 10 from each gender in Senior Provincials 2022, and the top 2 athletes per gender from the 2nd year B (now 1st year A) from the 2021-22 OCF Youth Lead Provincials.

We have reserved 3 spots for application. Application process will also be in place to fill any of the top 12 spots from each gender if one or more of the climbers on that list chooses not to compete.

Please send a detailed message to info@climbontario.ca to apply for one of the 3 reserved spots or for any spots that become available due to non-participation of any selected athletes. Include the athlete's full name, date of birth, and your reason for application. Application for participation in Senior Lead Nationals should be based primarily on results from competition but can also include requests due to injury and/or illness. Applications will be accepted until October 21st, 2022.
