CEC Boulder Regionals Applications Youth B/A
As we informed you last month, from our boulder provincials today and tomorrow, we will qualify climbers to CEC Youth Boulder Nationals in Vancouver and also to CEC East Boulder Regionals in Halifax.
As our Provincials schedule changed slightly from what was anticipated with Youth B/A/Jr Male being today, Saturday and Youth B/A/Jr Female moving to Sunday we felt it important to clarify that the details of the qualification and application remain essentially unchanged.
Youth B and Youth A Male
The Top 5 athletes in these categories will qualified directly to CEC Youth Nationals (in Youth B, Evan Rajan is pre-qualified by the CEC and will not take a place so the athlete finish 6th will qualify).
The next 10 climbers (excluding any foreign nationals, will qualify to Regionals)
This leaves one (1) quota spot in each category for Regionals to be allocated by application. (we have requested additional that would be for application but may not receive any at this stage)
We will immediately open the application process after the qualification round on Saturday (April 12th) You can find the form here.
Youth B and Youth A Female
The same quotas apply and the Top 5 athletes in these categories will qualified directly to CEC Youth Nationals.
The next 10 climbers (excluding any foreign nationals, will qualify to Regionals)
This leaves one (1) quota spot in each category for Regionals to be allocated by application. (we have requested additional that would be for application but may not receive any at this stage)
Because of the schedule change that moved Youth B/A female to Sunday, we will immediately open the application process after the qualification round on Sunday (April 13th). You will find the form here.
All applications, from Male and Female categories will be reviewed at the same time by the Selections Committee on Monday (April 14th) at 4pm. Make sure your application is in before 3:59 without exception.
Again we also want to emphasize the tight timing of registrations for Regionals which close on Wednesday the 16th.
