OCF Releases Updated 2023-24 Competition Schedule

The OCF is pleased to have finalized the dates for the second Boulder Qualifier and Boulder Provincials. We have also confirmed the final dates for our events at Reach Indoor Climbing (February 10 and 11) and Aspire Whitby (March 2nd), and have moved our E/D/C Boulder Qualifier at Climber’s Rock to March 10. Please note the details below and on our events page.
December 15, 2023 (Toronto, ON) – The Ontario Climbing Federation is pleased to announce additional competition dates in the new year as part of our 2023-24 season. These dates are all confirmed, including Speed and Difficulty Provincials. Registration for these events will open on Monday, December 18 at 12pm, except for Difficulty Provincials as we still need to run through the qualification process for that event.
“It has been a challenging past few months since our last competition announcement in terms of finding partner gyms who are able to host OCF events. As we have outlined previously to our members, there are a number of reasons for this to be the case, and we are working as diligently as possible to continue to find hosts for the last few remaining qualifiers we would still like to have,” said Nathan Abdelnour, Executive Director for the OCF.
“This being the case, the OCF will begin the process of establishing a working group to coordinate with our Competition Committee as soon as the new year rolls around in order to prepare the 2024-25 season as early as possible,” Abdelnour added. “We look continue to look forward, and further announcements will be coming ahead of the Christmas and Holiday season as part of delivering on our strategic and operational priorities in 2024.”
The OCF would also like our members to note the change in all registration deadlines. Moving into the new year, all registration deadlines will be on the Friday of the week prior to the competition. This adjustment is required to accommodate the need of our gyms for scheduling and volunteer recruitment purposes. Reminders will be sent on a regular basis moving into the new year.
The additional confirmed schedule for the 2023-24 season, and link to the event pages, can be found below. Note that information will be continuously updated on an on-going basis, with announcements via our social media channels when such updates are made.
