Eligibility
Youth C, Youth B, Youth A and Junior athletes are eligible to compete at Youth Boulder Regionals. Youth B, Youth A and Junior may also advance to Youth Boulder Nationals.
You must be a current season OCF member to be eligible for an OCF quota spot to any CEC event.
Quota and Selection Policy - Youth C
The OCF has received six (6) spots for Youth C per gender to CEC Youth Boulder Regionals East.
The OCF’s quota will be allocated according to our published Selection Policy:
The top four (4) athletes at OCF Boulder Provincials will receive spots automatically.
We will fill the remaining two (2) spots - as well as any declined top four (4) spots or any extra quota received from CEC - through an application process.
If you did not finish in the top four (4) at OCF Boulder Provincials, please submit an application if you wish to be considered for a spot at Regionals.
Deadline to apply: Friday, March 29, 2024 at 5:00pm
Quota and Selection Policy - Youth B, Youth A and Junior
The OCF has received ten (10) spots per category and per gender to CEC Youth Boulder Regionals East as well as five (5) spots per category direct to CEC Youth Boulder Nationals.
The OCF’s quota will be allocated according to our published Selection Policy:
Some athletes have received an invitation from CEC direct to Nationals based on past performance. These pre-qualified athletes do not take up OCF quota spots.
The top five (5) athletes at OCF Boulder Provincials will receive spots direct to Youth Boulder Nationals (bypassing Regionals).
The next eight (8) athletes at OCF Boulder Provincials (placements #6-#13) will receive spots to Youth Boulder Regionals East.
We will fill the remaining two (2) spots - as well as any declined top thirteen spots or any extra quota received from CEC - through an application process.
Notes:
Athletes who are directly qualified to Nationals are not eligible to compete at Regionals.
Athletes who compete at Regionals will have the chance to qualify for Nationals, as the the top fifteen at each of Youth Boulder Regionals East and Youth Boulder Regionals West will advance to Youth Boulder Nationals.
If you did not finish in the top 13 at OCF Boulder Provincials, please submit an application if you wish to be considered for a spot at Regionals.

Qualified athletes should register directly with CEC: https://member.climbingcanada.ca.
Please note that CEC’s registration system is completely separate from the OCF’s and requires a different username and password. You will need to purchase a 2023-2024 CEC license and then register and pay for the competition.
